How can faculty put books on reserve?

Faculty may place items on reserve at the Freel Library circulation desk for student use. These materials may be Freel Library books or media, personal copies or coursepacks. They cannot be items borrowed from other libraries. More information on placing items on reserve can be found here.  For further information, please contact Glenn Lawson at 662-5326 or by email

If you have personal copies of books or articles on reserve in the library for the use of your students and you haven’t assigned them for the current semester, we ask that you take them back to your office. Our limited shelf space is overwhelmed with materials not in use. Library books not currently assigned will be removed from reserve and re-shelved.
